MEDIA
Using metaverse as a disruptive new content form for an OTT/VOD platform in Saudi Arabia

I collaborated with a client operating in the highly competitive OTT/VOD market in Saudi Arabia to develop a unique offering using the metaverse as a disruptive new content form. In an industry dominated by powerful incumbents that invest millions in video content, my client required a differentiating strategy to stand out.

Together, we created a comprehensive five-year venture business plan and financial forecast to set the stage for a successful launch and monetization of the metaverse project. Additionally, I delivered a proof of concept platform and target plan, which included architecture, infrastructure, content, and data, for the forthcoming metaverse platform.

As a result of our collaboration, my client is scheduled to launch their metaverse in January 2024.

INSURANCE
Launching leasing business models to differentiate from competitors

Innovation can be a significant challenge for insurers, particularly in highly regulated industries. However, it is essential in a market that has become commoditized.

I collaborated with a client in the insurance industry to create a new insurance product class for mobile phone protection, which would be leased alongside a range of services and upgrades. This solution was developed in partnership with Blackrock, the world's largest asset manager.

This new offering had numerous benefits, including:

- a better end-user experience with premium services

- reduced Capex for business partners

- limited risk for insurers.

GIGA CITY: NEOM
Internal innovation toolkit.

"Neom is an accelerator of human progress and human creativity powers that acceleration.
Through our collaboration we developed a 3D visualisation tool to liberate the power of imagination applied to multiple industry verticals. Alexandra excels at execution and is resilient under pressure"

Mansoor Hanif, Executive director, Emerging technologies

In early 2021, NEOM, the world's largest giga city project, was rapidly growing its headcount, creating an HR challenge to ensure that employees and consultants could quickly understand the project's DNA.

The technology and digital department needed to communicate the range of technology solutions they could offer to various project sectors and regions, from infrastructure to robotics to cognitive propositions.

To address this challenge, we created a toolkit leveraging 3D visualization that broke down silos and empowered teams to develop visionary ideas across functions.

This solution enabled the project team to communicate complex technical concepts and ideas more effectively, fostering cross-functional collaboration and driving innovation across the project.

50 immersive experiences were created that cover a wide range of topics such as travel, robotics, water, energy, mobility, and logistics, among others. These experiences continue to be used as a source of inspiration for the future of NEOM.
